Vincent Dante Sawyer has arrived! He was born on Monday, January 12th at 12:50pm at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. He weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and measured 21" at birth. Labor was pretty extensive. We tried the famous labor-inducing salad at Caioti Pizza Cafe and spicy food over the weekend to convince the baby to come out. We thought he was ready on Sunday but after a whole day of contractions and not improving much, I ended up having a C-section. The baby heartbeat would drop after each contraction and we found out afterward that the cord was wrapped twice around his neck. But the operation went fast and the hospital was great to recover at. Ron and I are now at home enjoying 3 weeks of bonding with our little bundle of joy. Here are a few pictures of major cuteness.

On a essayé de le faire sortir le week-end dernier en mangeant épicé. Il semblait décidé à sortir dimanche mais après une journée entière passée à avoir des contractions, j'ai fini par avoir une césarienne. Le rythme cardiaque du bébé tombait après chaque contraction car il avait le cordon entouré deux fois autour du cou. L'opération s'est déroulée vite et l'hôpital était très confortable. On est maintenant rentrés à la maison. Ron et moi prenons trois semaines de repos pour nous faire à notre nouvelle vie. Voici quelques photos du petit bout de chou.
